Exploitable results

The project provides small and medium enterprises (SME) with effective electronic means to market and trade their goods, their digital materials and their services. It also enables SMEs to trade in an integrated way with both theirs customers and theirs suppliers. EL SME key trading facilities are: electronic advertizing; marketing analysis tools; electronic packaging; electronic ordering and delivery; electronic contract generation; electronic payment; royalty redistribution; copyright protection. The EL SME global environment is composed of 4 software packages, which are part of an integrated system: EL Mall (Electronic Mall), EL Shop (Electronic Shop), EL Office (Electronic Office), EL Client (Electronic Client). The EL Shop and EL Office software may be combined, when needed, under one software package. The EL Mall component provides a centralized facility by which SMEs can market and promote their products, their services, and their expertise to potential customers or trade partners. It may be seen as a virtual and permanent exhibition centre. This centre provides powerful presentation and navigation capabilities and is designed to allow visitors to find what they really need. The EL Shop components provide facilities by which a business provider is able to trade goods and digital materials electronically. It may be seen as a virtual shop with all the facilities to sell, in a secure mode, goods and digital materials. The facilities include electronic payment in real time, use-rights protection, powerful marketing and analysis tools and the ability to establish digital contracts defining the trading rules. This component also manages the customers requests and the delivery of the goods and/or digital materials ordered. Administration facilities are available allowing the management of access rights, certificate verification, server maintenance, etc.
