Few-body physics network

Exploitable results

This project will involve setting up a computer network for the exchange of scientific information between research institutions in west Europe and the main centres of research on few-body problems in molecular, atomic, and subatomic physics located at several places in the NIS, such as Dubna, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Kharkov, Tbilisi, Almaty, Tashkent. The central node of this network in the NIS will be installed at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) at Dubna. A central node for the west European network is already established at the University of Graz in Austria. There will also be provision for financing subscriptions to scientific journals as well as acquisition of conference proceedings and topical monographs at the main places of the NIS mentioned above. The final aim of the project will be to support conference participation by scientists from the pertinent NIS institutions and occasional visits by west European experts to NIS scientific centres to make the computer network function.
