Lamberti has the know-how of producing stable water-based emulsions of photoinitiators. Reasonable photoinitiators were developed which resulted stable both in stress conditions and in normal storage. These emulsions cover the whole range of UV-Vis emissions of the Hg lamp used for curing UV ink formulations and cover also the transmittance window of the pigments commonly used for quadrichromy. The supplied water-based emulsions contain 30% of photoinitiators and were easily incorporable into water-based acrylic formulations. The formulations demonstrate a good stability.

The knowledge on photoinitiators for use in inkjet printing is a main result. The knowledge and recipes generated within this project are of significance for manufacturing UV-curable pigment inks for use in textile applications.
