Water quality considerations and predictions in intensive production of sole. Poster presented at Aquaculture Europe 2004 Barcelona

The model is expected to match optimally for fish <100 g, and displayed a good match for important water quality parameters in a system containing sole with a mean weight of approx. 10g. In particular, oxygen consumption and TAN excretion will be dependent on fish size, temperature and amount of protein in the feed. These considerations, i.e. metabolic variation as a function of fish size, should be investigated further in order to supply the sole aquaculture industry with a valuable tool for designing and running a culture facility.
