Glass based end sealing of tubular membranes for laboratory scale testing

Glass based end sealing of tubular membranes. The seals are developed to prepare a leak free changeover between support and membranes and to guaranty a good leak free contact between reactor and tube to be measured. These seals make it possible to measure high temperature performance of the tubular membranes on laboratory scale. Without problems gas permeance measurements have been performed up to 450°C.

Relevance:
Testing of tubular membranes on laboratory scale.
Leak free sealing of membranes for fixing into a reactor.

Current status:
Applicable.
