Developing a behaviourally informed Approach to the legal regulation of Market Behaviour and Institutions

Final Activity and Management Report Summary - BEHAVIORAL LAW (Developing a Behaviorally Informed Approach to the Legal Regulation of Market Behavior and Institutions)

This project sought to advance the systematic development of a behavioural approach to the legal analysis of market behaviour and institutions. This goal was accomplished through a combination of novel theoretical and empirical studies at the intersection of law, economics, and the psychology of judgment and decision making. The project's most important scientific achievements therefore concerned the advancement of legal scholarship by providing a systematic foundation and evaluation of the behavioural analysis of law; the implementation of a series of experimental studies of some variables that shape competitive behaviour; and the development of novel legal applications in different fields of law.
