Expanding textile commerce

Expansion of sales is a key element to success. In the current information society, where practically all forms of commerce can be conducted electronically, it becomes important to provide comprehensive services that allow effective, safe and easily accessible avenues to conduct such enterprise. A Romanian institute is currently developing an integrated service for the textile industry.
Expanding textile commerce
The textile industry is huge, characterised by a host of concerns such as environmental standards, safe products for human use, surface treatments solutions, quality of manufacture, sales and distribution outlets. Since there are a countless number of distribution outlets situated all over the world, offering warehouses of various textiles for a multitude of different purposes, establishing and developing sales avenues is a considerable task.

Therefore, having a single site dedicated to the sale of textiles would provide a high-service orientated function that would save both time and money. The INCDTP is the National Institute for Research and Development in the Textile and Leather Industry, has developed a rudimentary prototype facility that aims at providing a comprehensive "virtual-shop" in the field of textile product sales. The service seeks to facilitate e-commerce exclusively for the textile industry, with the intention of bringing a high level of expertise and previous European project experience to fruition. Currently, INCDTP is looking for financial support to implement their "virtual-shop" that will ultimately boost European textile competitiveness by allowing them to expand their services globally.
