Ubiquitous workforce for mobile business

A newly developed software package offering safe data storage and access from anywhere and at all times is expected to give enterprises the suitable environment for business transactions.
Ubiquitous workforce for mobile business
The large amount of information stored on mobile devices is difficult to retrieve in case of a technical failure, loss or theft. Under such circumstances, although the device can be easily replaced, the valuable data stored is most probably lost. Answering this need, an Israeli SME developed an innovative package for mobile workforce that allows easy access of data through a web browser.

The package comprises backup and restoration of data, virtual and safe storage of user information, as well as mobile synchronisation and backup of mobile devices. Its efficient, rapid and safe storage domain allows for the use of the web as a disk. The browser offers users access capabilities of online data retrieval from anywhere and folders sharing in a simple and user-friendly way.

Backup and synchronisation of information is accomplished in the mobile domain, where users are capable of managing versions, updating information and communicating with other devices. The tool features increased potentialities for reaching backup files without any requirements on software installation, but via a web interface. The web interface is employed for accessing all three domains by logging in as either the administrator or the end user.

In comparison to other similar technologies data transfer is faster and storage savings are bigger, while at the same time full restoration of the entire data is feasible. This novelty constitutes a unique combination of disaster recovery and mobility providing a more efficient utilisation and administration in all domains. Moreover, the tool facilitates versions management, searching capabilities and comparison options in the most user-friendly and fast way.

Potential users are people travelling, home users and enterprises with mobile workforces. Service providers, companies providing net-services and/or disaster recovery, as well as system integrators are sought for licensing and joint venture agreements.
