Turbomachinery sees another successful conference

The Sixth Euroturbo conference was held in France to showcase the latest technology in the field. Gatherings there paved the way for future conferences on Turbomachinery.
Turbomachinery sees another successful conference
Turbomachinery is a field under mechanical engineering that involves energy transfer between a rotor and a fluid through turbines and compressors. It is connected to fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, fields that play an important role in industry, energy production and numerous scientific applications.

The EU-funded initiative 'Support to sixth European conference on turbomachinery - fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, Lille, March 2005' (Euroturbo6) highlighted technology transfer across Europe in this field. It was very important for researchers, design engineers and users of Turbomachinery components, fostering partnerships within Europe, particularly between eastern European countries and their western counterparts.

The conference took place in March 2005 in Lille, France, and was divided into two parallel sessions. These were chaired by prominent members of the European scientific community and featured five exhibitors. The conference hosted special meetings for stakeholder groups and was considered a significant event for showcasing the latest developments and best practices in the field.

It represented the ideal forum for communicating the results of research projects funded by the European Commission and helped unveil cutting-edge knowledge to participants. Overall, strong participation and interest in the field across Europe have helped cement a solid future for the Euroturbo conferences, marking the continent a leader in this sector.
