Evolving e-business strategies
The E-VOLUTION II project has created management methodology in support of extended enterprises as they implement e-business strategies. This is a way to enhance competitiveness by pinpointing the complexities of the whole supply chain. The project follows a two-fold method. This consists of a macroscopic market approach and a microscopic organisational approach. Both approaches are combined to form a personalised e-business roadmap to facilitate strategic decisions. One of the main objectives is the development of an enabling methodology to implement, adopt and optimise e-business strategies which canvas the entire supply chain. One way of doing this was through the development of e-vol.net a website communication and information platform which offers general information regarding the E-VOLUTION project and the project partners. The website provides a closed workspace for its members which includes an online forum for virtual discussions and a newsletter. Information about regional and international events workshops and seminars especially pertaining to e-business matters for SMEs can be found in the calendar. This will be especially useful for companies, institutions and networks wishing to participate and to design the e-Volution toolkit to their liking.
