FET Flagships

Welcome to the FET FLAGSHIP INITIATIVES

FET Flagships are ambitious large-scale, science-driven, research initiatives
that aim to achieve a visionary goal. The scientific advance should provide a

Science beyond fiction
fet11-banner02.jpgThe European Future Technologies Conference and Exhibition 2011 was the second instalment of a new forum dedicated to frontier research in information and communication technologies, a unique conference on visionary, high-risk and long-term research in information science and technology. Featuring an exceptionally broad range of scientific fields the event will seed new ideas across disciplines that will reshape the future.

FET Flagship Flyer (653kb)
cover-flyer-small.jpgCertain research goals are so ambitious that they are beyond the reach of any single national or EU funded research initiative. Only by mobilising the best researchers Europe-wide via a shared vision towards a clearly defined unifying goal, and by supporting them over a long period, can such objectives be reached.
