CORDIS, the European Commission's research and development information service, offers a more user-friendly access to Fourth Framework programme (FP4) results in the field of life science and technologies. The web sites for 'Biomedicine & Health' (BIOMED), 'Biotechnology' (BIOTECH) and 'Agriculture & Fisheries' (FAIR) programmes have been revamped and offer a more dynamic access to both funded projects and latest available exploitable research results. New results available cover medical research, knowledge of living systems, clinical practices, advanced technologies for nutritious food, production and utilisation of biological raw materials and much more. The transversal programme on 'Ethical, Legal & Social Aspects' (ELSA) also has a new look. The results of research activities on the societal issues concerning regulation and desirability of life sciences, earmarking 30 million euro, are easily accessible via the revamped site. These sites can prove useful for all innovation players looking to exploit research results for spin offs or to participate in the current 'Quality of Life and management of living resources' of the Fifth Framework programme under which new research activities in these fields are being implemented.
