Transport & environment alliance for urban sustainability

Ziel

Key objectives of ROTORS are to change modal split in the urban area by increasing public transport use and bicycle kilometres, reduce congestion, noise and air pollution, and reduce traffic due to e-commerce and distribution. Achieve political and public awareness and improve intra-organisational, institutional and public private co-operation.

Four high level objectives are defined:
Demonstrate strong impacts on urban transport system by integrating policies of city organisations, and combine these with contributions of private partners;
Verification and evaluation on clear impact areas and success-indicators including integration aspects;
Make ROTORS a show-case for effective and efficient local and regional sustainable policies by establishing a strong corporate identity of the project towards citizens and politicians, disseminate results and conditions for successful implementation, and organise transfer of knowledge;
