Objective The PartnErS project is aimed at creating a mutually beneficial training and transfer of knowledge program between a Hungarian SME and a Danish and a Thai academic institution. The scientific and industrial aim is to generate new comparative information on the generation and maintenance of embryonic stem cells (ESCs) in mouse, pig and human and on their differentiation towards the neural lineage. The PartnErS project links research activities in different mammalian systems, including murine, porcine and human, and in SME and Academia. Training and transfer of knowledge activities are structured to assure the maximum efficiency in developing and exchanging the new standards between industry and academia and to expose the participating researchers to different environments and schools of thoughts. This is expected to be highly beneficial for their individual career development. The project is aimed to have an impact on the European Health sector. The main impact of the project is expected as integrating efforts in stem cell biology and cell therapy between industry and academia for long term collaboration. Furthermore, direct outcome of the project is expected from better stem cell differentiation protocols in mouse, pig, and human, with potential applications in human regenerative medicine and tissue engineering fields and, beyond it, in pharmaceutical industry and agriculture Fields of science natural sciencesbiological sciencescell biologymedical and health sciencesmedical biotechnologytissue engineeringmedical and health sciencesmedical biotechnologycells technologiesstem cellsagricultural sciencesagriculture, forestry, and fisheriesagriculture Keywords cell biology cell therapy embryonic stem cells Programme(s) FP7-PEOPLE - Specific programme "People" implementing the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities (2007 to 2013) Topic(s) PEOPLE-2007-3-1-IAPP - Marie Curie Action: "Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways" Call for proposal FP7-PEOPLE-2007-3-1-IAPP See other projects for this call Funding Scheme MC-IAPP - Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) Coordinator BIOTALENTUM TUDASFEJLESZTO KFT EU contribution € 563 539,00 Address AULICH LAJOS UTCA 26 2100 Goedoello Hungary See on map Region Közép-Magyarország Pest Pest Activity type Private for-profit entities (excluding Higher or Secondary Education Establishments) Administrative Contact Zsuzsanna Hericsne Buda Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Website Opens in new window Total cost No data Participants (2) Sort alphabetically Sort by EU Contribution Expand all Collapse all KOBENHAVNS UNIVERSITET Denmark EU contribution € 204 523,00 Address NORREGADE 10 1165 Kobenhavn See on map Region Danmark Hovedstaden Byen København Activity type Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Administrative Contact Ivan Kristoffersen (Mr.) Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Website Opens in new window Total cost No data CHULALONGKORN UNIVERSITY Thailand EU contribution € 138 145,00 Address PHYATHAI ROAD 254 PATHUMWAN 10330 Bangkok See on map Activity type Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Administrative Contact Mongkol Techakumphu (Prof.) Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Total cost No data
