Obiettivo
As cardiovascular diseases represent the first cause of death in Europe, we intend to develop COR multimedia service whose general objectives are: to increase community consciousness about cardiovascular disease prevention, to give guidelines to improve life quality cutting down admissions to hospitals and to contribute to 15% myocardial infarct reduction in active middle aged population within a period of 5 years. This is made according to the WHO (World Health Organisation) guidelines about diseases in 2000 and primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases (in fact the Burlo Garofolo partner has international relations with Mother Child Health Offices in Geneva and Copenhagen). Some of the partners involved had previous experience in planning and implementing educational software on cardiovascular disease prevention as they developed CBE RISKO prototype.
