Objectif The proposal is to form a Research Center for Quantitative Macroeconomic Research (RCQMR) at the Institute for International Economic Studies at Stockholm University. The aim of the RCQMR is to conduct research within the general area of macroeconomics and inequality. However, most of the focus during the buildup period will be on a broad project on the world economy and climate change. The aim is to build a dynamic quantitative macroeconomic model of the world economy with a climate system as an integral part. The novelty, relative to existing economy-climate models, is the modeling methodology: it will use modern macroeconomic analysis---in particular the numerical tools developed to study economies with a cross-section of consumers/agents---in order to substantially enrich and generalize the description of the world economy.
