Final Report Summary - DILUTEPARAWATER (Long-Lived Nuclear Magnetization in Dilute Para-Water)
The ERC grant entitled “Dilute para-water” has lead to a great deal of research activity, with nearly 80 papers published in 6 years, and has lead to many unexpected discoveries. In particular, we found that deuterated CD3 groups can provide a new approach to drug screening. The preparation of hyperpolarized water has allowed us to boost the signals of exchangeable protons of biological macromolecules.
