energy services demonstrations of demand response, FLEXibility and energy effICIENCY based on metering data

Deliverables

Definition of project KPIs and a common methodology across the demos

The deliverable describes the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set on the basis of the use cases defined in WP2 to evaluate the demonstrations performances and that will serve as the building blocks of impact analyses. General KPIs, common to all the demonstrations, and specific KPIs, specific for each demo, will be described following a common template.

Definition of services and use cases description

The deliverable will describe the services to be investigated in the project and the related use cases, either to be demonstrated or simulated due to technical or regulatory constraints.

Definition of project overall system architecture

The report will describe, for the system architecture of the whole project, the functional and non-functional requirements, allowing the provision of the envisaged services. Attention will be focused on integration and interfaces issues (with existing equipment). Requirements will in particular address the need for standardization, non-discriminate accessibility to all players in the market (including new players) and interoperability. Possible barriers will be highlighted, such as regulatory limitations or additional requirements such as cyber security and data privacy issues.

Dissemination and Communication plan

The Communication and Dissemination (C&D) Plan will describe the project’s dissemination and communication activities, and in particular the composition of the target groups and the communication tools and distribution channels that will be used to reach them, as well as the planned dedicated workshops. The Plan will be subject to yearly upgrades to include possible new tools that might appear and fine tune communication objectives as needed.

Description of preliminary business and market model options of the experimentally demonstrated use cases

The deliverable will describe possible business models options for the services and use cases defined in WP2 through assignment of economic value for the multiple stakeholders capable of benefiting from this marketplace.

EU Market Place: REX and lesson learned

This report will provide the user documentation for the Market Place. It will also provide technical documentation with the description of Market Place implementation. In the lessons learned section it will describe the most important solutions to the challenges and outline the future development.

Quality management plan

This deliverable will summarize the key provisions in the Consortium and Grant Agreements, the procedures for periodical reporting, explaination of the consortium organizational structure and decision making procedures, roles and responsibilities and review process. This deliverable will be updated as needed.

Report on the results achieved in the Swedish demonstration

This report will describe the result of the Swedish field test. The evaluation will focus on how customers and retailer have experienced the services performed by the communication platform and how well the energy services have been supported by the service communication platform.

The mapping of enabling factors and barriers

The deliverable will describe the main results of the mapping of the regulatory requirements currently governing energy efficiency, demand response and distributed generation within the 14 Member States covered and Switzerland. The report will provide the project with unique insights into the national regulatory frameworks and also their direct impact on the establishment of energy efficiency, demand response and distributed generation programs.

Final project report and recommendations

This deliverable will provide a summary of the project results together with the recommendations for the implementation of the European Market Place for energy efficiency and demand response services. This deliverable is due by 60 days from the end of the last reporting period (M50).

KPI measurements and calculations and demo evaluation for the Spanish demo

Once the Energy Boxes are installed and operating, a report based on the common template for KPIs using the common methodology for KPI calculation and measurements defined in WP3 will be completed, comparing the results with the expected ones. The report will be used to obtain final results of the project and to compare the different demo sites.

Final project conference proceedings to disclose the consortium conclusions and recommendations

A final project conference will be held at the end of the project to share and disseminate project results and recommendations. The proceedings will be collected in this deliverable.

Report on the results achieved in the Austrian and pan-European demonstrations

This report will summarize the results achieved in the Austrian and pan-European demonstrations. The objective of task 9.3 is to collect and analyze data from the demonstration as well as assess results and evaluate their potential impact. The services and use cases developed in WP2 will be matched with results from the field tests in terms of market model, business model and energy services and how they relate to the expected impact of the call. Deliverable 9.3 will provide a description of the results achieved in Austria and on pan-European level

Results achieved in the Italian demonstration

The deliverable describes the main results of the field tests and provides output data relevant to the KPIs defined in WP3. The document will conclude with insights and recommendations transpiring from the results of the Italian demonstrator.

Data model and interfaces

The report will define the architecture of the data exchanges, specifying formats, standards and communication protocols to be adopted, guaranteeing privacy, safety and security of data, in order to guarantee interoperability and service accessibility to all the players in the market and the entry of new players at EU level.

Assessment of the business models developed in the French demo

KiwiPower will provide a report summarising the business opportunity based on the customer consumption data and the suitability of the resulting demand flexibility in various demand response programmes. The report will specifically highlight the opportunities and the technical and commercial barriers to adoption. In addition, the report will provide further real-world technical and implementation detail on markets where KiwiPower has operations, currently UK and Ireland.

Report on the integration of the infrastructure with the new Services/Aggregator platforms for the Spanish demo

The deliverable will provide the results obtained of the integration of the different equipments and systems with the new Services/Aggregator platform in Malaga City demo site.

Cross-case analysis of the results from the demonstrations

The deliverable will summarize the different demonstration projects, their impacts in terms of the defined KPIs and present them in a coherent and comparable manner, highlighting best practices and lessons learned.

Project web site and other media

By means of this continuously updated website, information about the project and the partners will be provided. It will contain a restricted area for the project partners only.
