Status of households engagement in each Country

Statistical report with no private date

Final Report WP6

The report will inform stakeholders of the benefits of enhanced training and how the training ensures consumers are receiving a high standard of quality information that will enable them to take action and use their smart meters and IHD (where installed) more effectively and, in countries where the roll-out has not been completed yet, on how to involve installers/frontline staff and improve the implementation of the smart meter roll-out.

Final status of pilot activities

Report on the pilot and final tool to incentivate stakeholders engagement and exploitation of training package

Report on stakeholder training event in each country

Each project partner will organise a half-day stakeholder training and steering group meeting to which representatives of the involved stakeholders and frontline staff (identified in WP2) will be invited. The aim of this training is to discuss the energy monitoring tool, its function, and how to guide vulnerable consumers in its proper use. A report summarising the main outcomes from each event, main barriers and opportunities in each country, and feedback received from the participating stakeholders will be prepared by the project partner. The WP leader will provide partners with the necessary structure and reporting template.

Manual for installers and/or front-line staff to use as an aid when advising vulnerable households

All partners will develop a manual for both installers and front-line staff to use as an aid when advising vulnerable households.

Feedback on energy monitoring tool

report on findings issued of the experimentation of the energy monitoring tool and improvement of the tool

Report on dissemination activities

Report on all dissemination activities

Mid-term status of pilot activities

Report on the pilot and tool to incentivate stakeholders engagement and exploitation of training package

Report on stakeholders' engagement M18

Partners will organise at least 1 meeting with stakeholders before M18 and a report with conclusions will be elaborated in each country Report on stakeholders' engagement related activities

Training packages in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Maltese

NEA will review and update existing guidelines for smart meter installers and front-line staff. All partners will attend a workshop hosted by NEA to agree on the scope and objectives of the training to be updated for staff and installers involved in their own country. All partners will refine and translate both the installer training guidelines and the training guidelines for front-line staff into their country’s context and national language.

Report on the international conference including participants list

NEA will organise an international conference in Brussels for approximately 80 delegates. The conference will be used to launch the findings and recommendations of the project to international stakeholders. A list of attendees will be recorded and a report summarising the event will be produced.

Energy consumption and review tool for vulnerable consumers

Development of 5 energy monitoring tools for vulnerable consumers. A comprehensive review exercise of existing paper and Excel-based energy monitoring tools will be undertaken by the WP leader. This review, together with the experiences of the consortium members and the feedback received from the stakeholder seminars will lead to the adaptation of a paper-based tool to aid vulnerable consumers in the monitoring of their energy consumption, enabling them to understand their consumption and to act to reduce it. The tool will enable the users to compare their energy consumption to that of typical households of the same size. The monitoring tool will afterwards be adapted by each partner to reflect local requirements, information displayed on the smart meter, and will also take into account literacy levels of the main target group. Each partner will be responsible for the development of the tool for his/her country, with guidance provided by the WP leader.

Video (documentary format) of the event with conclusions and main discussions from different partners experiences

A video documenting the international conference will be produced. The video will include main discussions from different partners experiences.

Public Web Portal

a public web portal will be developed to promote the goals and findings of the SMART-UP project. The portal will involve a dedicated public website which will include videos, blogs, forums, links to Facebook, Linked-In and Twitter. PIM will design, organise and host the web-portal. All partners will contribute to simple explanations of the evaluation goals and findings of the project.
