A disruptive software solution guiding users to available parking spots and making interactionwith the parking infrastructure quick and easy

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - Evopark (A disruptive software solution guiding users to available parking spots and making interactionwith the parking infrastructure quick and easy)

Reporting period: 2016-02-01 to 2016-05-31

Evopark have developed a disruptive software solution to inform drivers in real time about available parking spaces in nearby parking garages and guide them there, automating the process of entering, existing and paying for use of regulated off-street car parking. The objectives of the project is to deliver a Minimum Viable Product meeting key user requirements, demonstrate it through extensive pilots in the go-to EU country markets, and ultimately have a platform that is ready for launch by the end of the project.
During the Feasibility Study, Evopark have continued to test prototypes with end users. They spoke with various drivers, retail shops and businesses to understand their needs and potential interest in the product. Evopark has also been working closely with Q-Park - an international parking garage operator - along with a number of smaller, local, parking garage operators in the continued development of their product. The Company identified the key countries where the product should be tested with a clear product development and review plan in place. In addition to their established network of parking garages, Evopark also engage with Skidata and Scheidt & Bachmann. These are parking management system providers responsible for the access controls in many car parks. By the end of feasibility study, Evopark had secured the optimum partnerships for the planned product development activities to take place during Phase 2.
Evopark is a mobile application to inform drivers in real time about available parking spaces in nearby parking garages and guide them there. The solution uses off-the-shelf RFID (radio-frequency identification) technology and mobile technology to automate the procedure of entering a parking garage, paying, invoicing and exiting – making the whole process easier and quicker. Evopark estimates savings in journey times of 15 minutes and reduced fuel expenses by up to 20%.
