Obiettivo The aim of this project is to model the phenomena responsible for macroscopic segregation in the continuous casting of hard steel blooms and billets intended for the manufacture of wire rod. This model should be used to deduce the necessary measures for reducing segregation, in particular through the use and optimum location of electromagnetic stirrers.
