Objective This research project will use plant trials in combination with laboratory measurements of slag parameters to improve steel cleanness through: - an extension of knowledge of the thermodynamics of slags; - optimisation of production processes; - extension of process control; - extension and improvement of existing thermodynamic models for application in practical steel-making.
