Obiettivo This project will build on the work of 7210.GF/603 which developed a measurement system for the automatic detection of oxide inclusions by means of a quantitative microscope for as-cast samples and a magnetic method for rolled material. This present project seeks to improve and optimise the whole system of slab and coil sampling and to assess the possibilities of radiography as an alternative to the microscopic examination of slab samples.
