The effect of alloying elements on HAZ microstructure and toughness

Obiettivo

The objective of the research is to study the effect of alloying elements such as C, B, Mo, Nb, V, Al, Si on the HAZ toughness of welds made with high heat inputs. It shall be identified which type of microstructure produces optimum HAZ toughness.
