Objective

This research project will attempt to improve control accuracy of the sintering process to achieve high productivity, stable operation and high sinter quality. The project has the following objectives: - monitoring of flame front propagation. Investigation of ways of improving the uniformity of propagation across the width of the cake; - evaluation of charging conditions on permeability; validation on industrial sinter strand equipped with charging control device; - development of a tool, involving advanced techniques, to control the operating conditions of sintering.
