Objective Existing guidance for the structural design of stainless steel is based on a carbon steel rules, modified as necessary where stainless steel test data indicated different behaviour. A multi-partner ECSC project Development of the Use of Stainless Steel in Construction was conceived. Efficient design methods of stainless steel structures have been developed using the extensive data generated by the project. This project will disseminate the technical knowledge resulting from the above research by the publication of a Design Manual and by the creation of a web site Programme(s) ECSC-STEEL C - Medium-term guidelines for the ECSC steel RTD programme of research and pilot/demonstration projects, 1996-2002 Topic(s) F6 - Steel structures Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinator Steel Construction Institute EU contribution No data Address Silwood Park SL5 7QN Ascot United Kingdom See on map Links Website Opens in new window Total cost No data Participants (6) Sort alphabetically Sort by EU Contribution Expand all Collapse all CENTRO SVILUPPO MATERIALI SPA Italy EU contribution No data Address Via di Castel Romano 100/102 00128 ROMA EUR See on map Total cost No data Centre Technique Industriel de la Construction Métallique France EU contribution No data Address Domaine de Saint-Paul 78470 Saint-Rémy-ls-Chevreuse See on map Total cost No data EURO INOX Luxembourg EU contribution No data Address route d'Arlon 241 1150 LUXEMBOURG See on map Links Website Opens in new window Total cost No data STUDIENGESELLSCHAFT STAHLANWENDUNG Germany EU contribution No data Address Sohnstrasse 65 40237 DÜSSELDORF See on map Total cost No data STÅLBYGGNADSINSTITUTET Sweden EU contribution No data Address 115 92 STOCKHOLM See on map Total cost No data VTT BUILDING TECHNOLOGY Finland EU contribution No data Address Kemistintie 3 P.O.
