Objectif

This pilot project concerns the engineering, construction and optimisation of an automated measuring device for the action of the determination of the trajectories of the raw materials charged at the top of a bell-less blast furnace. The system will be installed on one of the blast furnaces of COCKERILL SAMBRE. Intensive trials will be performed, to test the long-term reliability of the system and the quality of the measurements. A gas tight confinement system for the probe be developed and first tested on a pilot rig.
