Objective Due to European integration, hospital staff across Europe face an increasing need for foreign language knowledge. This project therefore aims to develop an auditing tool for assessing language needs in the health care sector. It will also conduct a field study and analysis of the foreign language training needs of several hospitals in different European countries. The ALISSA audit will use questionnaires and electronic self-assessment instruments. Each partner in the project has extensive experience in the various fields in question, namely linguistics, sociology and software development. The partners will produce an in-depth study of the foreign language needs of the medical sector. The auditing tool will enable medical institutions around Europe to conduct their own needs analyses and will consequently give rise to the design of specific language courses.ImpactThe project will lead to improvements in health services and will contribute to the mobility of European citizens.Contract number : E/96/1/00204/PI/III.1.a/FPCDomaine : Continuing vocational trainingContents : Language skills Forecasting training needs Equal opportunitiesProducts : Informations/ ressources database Evaluation tools Book, manual, guide Public : Workers in companies Young workers Unemployed Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Topic(s) III.1.a - Support for the development of language skills Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinator COLEGIO OFICIAL DE MÉDICOS DE NAVARRA EU contribution No data Address AVENIA BAJA NAVARRA 47 31002 Pamplona Spain See on map Total cost No data
