The aim of this project is to provide horticultural sector workers with the means to progress within their occupation, notably with regard to the whole EU horticultural economy. 'Nymphea Certification' will be targeted at people who already have technical competences and diplomas that are recognised at national level. The specific objective is to develop a European competence validation system covering the following fields:
- knowledge of the European horticulture sector;
- foreign language skills;
- international work experience.
The partners will test, expand and improve a training module that has already been developed during a previous project. The testing will take place with a range of different potential users, including people in initial training and workers in continuing training. A methodological guide will then be produced on the results. This will be used to encourage widespread use of the training in the horticultural sector and to transfer the approach to other sectors.
Impact
This project will make a significant contribution to the 'europeanisation' of vocational training and will ultimately promote the mobility of workers.
