Investigations on the Effects of Radiation Quality and Localization of Radionuclides on Tumour Growth as a Prerequisite for the Development of New Radio-Pharmaceuticals for Cancer Therapy

Objective

The aim of the proposed project is to made attempts for obtain the following results : to define conditions for the preparation of a new sr-90-y-90 generator with low costs, long lived, for the production of y-90 wuth high purity for labelling antibodies and chelating complexes. To test tumoridical effects that can be achieved by using of tumour-affine vehicles, that carry radionuclides. The pharmacology of these radiopharmaceuticals is not affected by the radionuclide. It is important to note, that the vehicles will transport the radionuclide to different, yet well defined subcellulare loci in tumour cells.
