Objective The objective of this project is to develop a miniaturized silicon condenser microphone with integrated signal preprocessing electronics and a matching processor for signal postprocessing. The microphone will be suitable for hearing aids, acoustical metrology, active noise control, safety systems, and commercial electronics and audio technologies. Signal preprocessing and microphone will be implemented on a single chip. A prototype for the postprocessing electronics will be implemented on a board to demonstrate the functioning of the system and the possibility of an integrated solution. INFORMATION DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES AND EXPLOITATION The results of this project will be published in international journals and presented at congresses. In addition, contacts will be sought amongst microphone manufacturers who can produce the subminiature microphones in silicon technology.
