PAN-European Network in Multifunctional Microsystems

Objective

The objective of the NEXUSPAN working group is to further integrate researchers, manufacturers and users of microsystems technology (MST) from Central and Eastern Europe into the pan-European environment. In particular, NEXUSPAN will provide an infrastructure for the formation of MST related East/West co-operations. As a result, it is expected to contribute to the launching of future joint research projects exploiting the synergy of eastern and western MST laboratories.

NEXUSPAN will operate through joint workshops, exchange of researchers, and development of a common infrastructure, including the establishment of national contact points. In addition, an inventory of all MST activities in Eastern Europe will be made.

The working Group NEXUSPAN is an extension of the network of excellence NEXUS (ESPRIT project 7217) and the sister network NEXUS EAST under the PECO programme (number 5355).
