Exploitable results
The project was presented by partners involved in packaging for the food industry and in multi-energy thermal treatment, in order to improve product quality by means of an efficient pasteurization process and device whose use could be extended to other industrial domains (for example, polymer transformation and drying). The project concerned the production of a specialized tray holder and improved pasteurization technique, in order to enhance the pasteurization and sterilisation of certain foods. However, a prototype was not achieved due to the withdrawal of the partner with responsibility for constructing and testing the necessary equipment. Therefore, the results of this project consist of an accumulation of knowledge acquired in several areas (specialized packaging for microwaves, transfer microwave systems, trapping leaks). The various elements of know-how remain with the four research centres who discovered them, in order to allow them to continue to research in this area with new projects.
