Obiettivo Research activity of the Centre is focused on applications of superconductivity as a response to the requirements of increasing the current carrying capacity and reducing the ohmic loss in electrical power transmission and distribution. Centre is involved in 12 international collaboration projects related to these topics. The proposed measures will broaden the scope of the Centre activities through twinning, networking and collaborative research with 31 European research groups from 11 EU countries and 5 NAS. Direct contact with outstanding European laboratories will be provided also for the research groups from Slovak universities and industrial enterprises that are linked to the Centre. Mobility program for students and young researchers will enhance their participation in international collaboration.
