Objective The project consists of a consortium of companies and research organisations from the UK and from Germany, co-operating in research to advance technology in measurement systems which are used for the observation and monitoring of the lower atmosphere, typically for use in remote areas such as the Arctic and Antarctic. A successful research conclusion will advance European technology in providing knowledge of the natural environment to improve the air that we breathe, and will improve the competitiveness of EU SME's in this important and growing world market.
