Ziel

The project will test the concepts of a learning or knowledge society within the context of four city-regions. It will assess how learning can be utilized by cities in the development of integrated strategies for their future economic, social and sustainable development. The project will examine learning processes in a number of different types of initiative or network within the four case study city-regions on a comparative basis. It will also develop new indicators and tools for the measurement of learning activity and to assist in the development of strategy. The project will be carried out in an interactive manner with the local authorities and other partner organizations within each of the cities.
