Ziel
The FREIA project aims at faciliting the access of SME's to intermodal transport, and focuses hereby on the establishment of commercially viable relations with freight villages,their services, procedures and information systems.
The consortium will be assisted by 4 users groups,each covering a distinct European regions :
- mediterrean
- scandinavian
- central Europe
- Benelux UK
The following tasks will be executed :
- description of freight village procedures, facilities, value adding services, business practices notably in relation to information flows.
- description of SME business practices, and their requirements for freight village facilities & services, notably in relation to information exchanges.
- development of concepts for a virtual freight village information system.
- development of a SME's operators guide to intermodal transport.
