Obiettivo
The purpose of this project is to develop scientific co-operation between functional analysis research groups in Western Europe and the NIS.
The project will focus on the following topics: geometry of Banach spaces, infinite-dimensional aspects, applications to non-linear analysis and optimisation, local theory of Banach spaces (including stochastic and volumic methods), function theory, Banach algebras, operator theory of one or several complex variables, approximation by solution of elliptic equations.
Scientific co-operation is based on the needs of each participant. Western teams will use the available funds on invitations to NIS scientists to work on very precise scientific programs and, in some cases, for travelling.
