The role of peroxo-metal complexes in oxidations related to synthetically, environmentally and biologically relevant processes

Exploitable results

The main activities of the project carried out have concentrated on : Structure Reactivity Studies of V(V) peroxocomplexes in aqueous solutions. Models for vanadium bromoperoxidases. Enantioselective Titanium-Catalysed Sulphides. (Padova group) Metal-catalysed oxidations by sodium percarbonate and Palladium-catalysed alcohol oxidations. (Reims Group) Ozone formation; Oxidation of the difficult-to-oxidise substrates in Vv/H2O2/CF3COOH system; Singlet dioxygen formation; Oxidation reactions with the Vv/H2O2/AcOH system; Channels of co-ordinated singlet dioxygen consumption; Unexpected acceleration of H2O2 oxidations by BHT additives. (Moscow Group) Spectroscopic characterisation of Titanium(IV) alkylperoxo complexes and ferric hydroperoxo complexes. (Novosibirsk group) The work has been accomplished by using spectroscopic techniques and reactivity studies.
