Obiettivo This research project aims at compiling a dictionary of the Old Ukrainian language of the XVIth and the first half of the XVIIth century.Specialists in Slavonic studies have long been in need of a historical dictionary of the Ukrainian language of the XVIth to XVIIIth centuries. The Department of Linguistics, Institute of Ukrainian Studies, has already created a dictionary of Old Ukrainian of the XIVth and XVth centuries. Compiling a dictionary of the XVIth and the first half of the XVIIth century is a logical sequel to the earlier lexicographic endeavour.
