Objective
The proposal is intended to develop high-strength fast-setting bioactive cements to improve functional mobility and quality of life of osteoporotic population by studying the effect of water-reducing admixtures and superplasticizers on the setting and hardening properties of calcium phosphate cements. This novel approach will focus the interest of the scientific community on these biomaterials due to the new demanding orthopaedic applications.
