This thematic network will use micro-economic data to describe the differencies in innovation and productivity across firms and countries and to explain why these differencies persist. Armed with this knowledge attempts can be made to determine why some policies towards innovation are more successful than others.
The general area of the collaborative research is organised around the following areas
- job creation
- financial markets
- wage structures
- productivity
- competition policy
- policy evaluation
Six policy workshops meetings on the main themes will provide a series of reports summarising the joint projects.
