Main objectives of the project are:
The registration, diagnosis and classification of the energy condition of state owned or used buildings in the Region of Central Macedonia.
The analysis of the possibilities to improve the buildings energy behaviour and thermal comfort conditions by applying standard technology and energy management schemes.
The examination of new and existing financing schemes for the application of the proposed solutions.
To create a proposal for a Specific Public Buildings Regulation.
To propagate the results amongst the interested carriers.
As an overall goal: to protect, renovate and utilize in an optimum way the existing built environment and avoid a waste of resources in the construction of new buildings.
The project consists of four phases:
PHASE A. Inspection and diagnostic controls - monitoring of the situation
It includes the registration of buildings, the monitoring and inspection by means of a specifically created questionnaire and the carrying out of diagnostic controls to determine the energy and thermal comfort conditions of the buildings.
PHASE B: It includes the archive, processing and analysis of the obtained data and the creation of intervention scenario and guidelines.
A data base has been created in order to utilize the obtained data. The energy saving potential has been estimated and the possibilites of intervention have been examined.
PHASE C: Four buildings have been chosen for which detailed energy redesign studies have been carried out. Respective financing schemes are examined.
PHASE D: Diffusion of the gained results.
Brochures and a manual for the redesign of public buildings will be produced and presented at a workshop that will be organised.
