Objetivo Considering the difficulties today in traditional separation processes, the developed technology is of major value. It is shown that small scale tests will already give a good understanding and prediction of the production scale process. Scale-ability is fairly simple and gets even more reliable from pilot to production scale, than from lab scale to pilot scale. Opposite to this, scale-ability of traditional systems gets nearly impossible at large scale. The technology has major process advantages, which are even higher for low temperature and friable products processing. Control methods developed will be adequate and reliable. Analytical results on the products processed show no evidence on any chemical change in chemical structures by microwaves. The performance increase is high and is expected to be even much higher on larger scales. The technology enables to control the input of the energy accurately. So the energy input can be selected depending on required performances and processes. In this way the technology is a major tool in removing bottlenecks in existing separation plants.
