The European Commission, DG IV, has published a call for expressions of interest from experts in the field of competition policy and state aid.

The purpose of the call is to compile a list of potential contractors which will subsequently be invited to submit tenders in the following sectors:
- Aerospace;
- Automobile;
- Banking;
- Construction;
- Insurance;
- Information technology and computers;
- Non-ferrous metals;
- Shipbuilding;
- Steel;
- Synthetic fibres;
- Textiles;
- Chemicals;
- Culture/audiovisual;
- Energy;
- Environment/Waste management.

The contracts that may be awarded will take the form of study contracts, consultancy contracts or service contracts depending on the work. Invitations to tender for study contracts worth over ECU 100,000 or for services or consultancy contracts worth over ECU 200,000 will be published in the supplement (S series) of the Official Journal of the European Communities.
