The European Council has published its Decision 94/801/EC of 23 November 1994 adopting a specific programme of research and technological development in the field of telematics applications of common interest (1994-1998). The Decision sets the amount deemed necessary for carrying out the programme at ECU 843 million, which includes a maximum of 9.8% for the Commission's staff and administrative expenditure. The Decision contains the scientific and technological content and objectives of the programme, the indicative breakdown of the amount deemed necessary, as well as the specific rules for its implementation.
