Framework Agreement for cooperation between the EEC and Mexico
A proposal for a Council Decision submitted by the Commission on 21 March 1991 (COM(91) 92) concerns the conclusion of a Framework Agreement for cooperation between the EEC and the United Mexican States. The Agreement sets out the aims of such cooperation with reference to, inter alia: Economic industrial and financial cooperation, promotion of investment, technological development and intellectual property, standards, trade cooperation and expansion, admission of goods, science and technology, agriculture and the rural sector, fisheries, mining, transport, information and telecommunications, health, drug abuse control, energy, the environment, tourism, social matters, government, communication and culture, training, regional cooperation. The Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the date on which the Contracting Parties have notified the completion of procedures, and is to be concluded for a period of five years. The text of the Agreement is annexed to the proposal.
