The FIRE-IN Newsletter COVID-19 Special Edition Best practices and guidelines from European Fire and Rescue services

One of the main goals of our project is to create a web-based platform where the best practices within Fire & Rescue are shared among practitioners, researchers and technology providers. In these difficult times of the COVID-19 outbreak, we, partners from 8 countries in Europe, are also monitoring the measures taken by different countries against the pandemic and would like to share some of these measures with you.

Of course, only time and careful scientific research will show which actions were the most effective and which practices were truly "best". However, we did our best to choose universal practices and topics, relevant for everybody and authored by the most highly regarded organisations and European governments.

We know that the situation is changing rapidly, new recommendations and laws come in to force in most of the EU almost every day. We are not trying to keep up with all the daily developments, our goal is to provide you with a handful of research-based guidelines and recommendations. We hope that after reviewing the sources below, you and your colleagues will be better equipped to analyse the situation and make decisions.
