Third of four calls for technical assistance in relation to industrial affairs
The European Commission, DG III, has published a call for expressions of interest for the collection of information, the carrying out of studies and the provision of technical assistance, leading to greater knowledge of problems in relation to the development of Community and global industrial policy. The purpose of this call is to undertake a selection process and draw up a list of service providers who will later be invited to tender for the activities described below. The list resulting from this call will be used exclusively for contracts whose estimated value is inferior to the thresholds prescribed in the relevant "public contracts" directives. The works to be carried out are contingent on political or economic requirements and will cover the following subjects: 1. Industrial affairs 1.1. Application of standards in the following information and communication technology (ICT) sectors: 1.1.1. Intelligent transport networks 1.1.2. Bio-informatics applications 1.1.3. Intelligent manufacturing systems 1.1.4. Multimedia systems 1.1.5. Electronics trade 1.1.6. Home electronics 1.1.7. Digital towns/professional networks 1.1.8. Security and confidentiality 1.1.9. Public contracts 1.2. Implementation of pilot projects in the field of technology transfer 1.3. Execution of works in the field of multimedia and publications 2. Completion and operation of the internal market and industrial policy in the following sectors: 2.1. Mechanical 2.1.1. Pumps, compressors and hydraulic systems 2.1.2. Lifting and handling equipment 2.1.3. Agricultural tractors and agricultural equipment 2.1.4. Machine tools 2.1.5. Machines for extraction or construction 2.1.6. Other mechanical subsectors 2.2. Electrical engineering 2.2.1. Industrial equipment 2.2.2. Electrical household equipment 2.3. Metrology 2.4. Medical equipment 2.5. Construction 2.6. Naval construction and maritime industries 2.7. Aeronautics and aerospace electronics 2.8. Railway industries and other means of track-guided transport 2.9. Defence industry 2.10. Ceramic construction materials, glass, plaster, lime, cement, etc. 3. Analysis of industrial research in the field of information technology 3.1. RTD in information technology 3.2.
