Connecting through CORDIS: A guide to key Fourth Framework Programme and Task Force contacts
With the Fourth RTD Framework Programme well under way, it is vital that existing and potential participants keep up to date with the continual progress and evolution of each of the specific programmes. To this end, the European Commission, DG XIII, has published a guide to key contacts in the Fourth Framework Programme and the Task Forces. Compiled from the CORDIS Contacts database, the guide provides a comprehensive list of the Commission and national contact points for each of the specific RTD programmes under the Fourth Framework Programme. Additional contact details are provided for the Euratom Framework Programme, the CRAFT Network of Focal Points, the Innovation Relay Centres and the research/industry Task Forces set up the Commission. Depending on their specific areas of responsibility, the contacts can provide advice and information about most aspects of European RTD and assist with matters such as responding to calls for proposals and expressions of interest, disseminating research results, patenting and financing, and, in some cases, help with partner searches. In addition, the national contact points provide a vital link between the European Commission and researchers and industry in the Member States.
